"Mommy, Lily sit in her seat, right here?"-points to the seat in the car next to her
"No Brooklyn, Lily isn't going to ride in our car today"
"Oh. Lily sit in her blue car?"
"Maybe"
"Mommy"
"Yes, Brooklyn"
"I love Lily"
"I'm so glad you love Lily"
"Mommy"
"Yes, Brooklyn"
"You love Lily too?"
"Yes, Brooklyn, I love Lily too"
"Okay"- grinning from ear to ear
My sweet little Brooklyn,
I'm so glad that you love your cousin, Lily. In fact, you love everyone that you meet. On a daily basis you ask for each of your cousins who we see on a regular basis, your aunts and uncles, your grandparents, and about 2 dozen friends by name. Your memory is incredible. Your ability to love and care for others is outstanding. Your kind heart will be a wonderful asset in your friendships. Your ability to clearly communicate will take you so far in this life and through the eternities.
You have so many wonderful gifts. I hope that I never take for granted, the time that I get to spend with you. You are my ray of sunshine. We can't walk into a store without at least a dozen people stopping to talk to your little radiant self. You brighten up every room that you walk into.
I am so blessed to be your momma.
